A proposed Super Wawa on the Voorhees–Berlin border has been formally rejected by the Voorhees Planning Board. Concerns were raised regarding potential traffic safety issues at a Cooper Road exit.
A resolution denying the application was adopted by a 5–0 vote at the board’s December 10 meeting. The application was submitted by NIKI J&J Voorhees Cooper Partners LLC of Marlton.
The proposed development included a Wawa with fueling stations. The site is bounded by Cooper Road and northbound Route 73.
The public hearing and initial vote to deny the application occurred during the September meeting.
